Goodwood Speedweek & celebrating Range Rover’s 50th anniversary
This year, the sights and sounds of Goodwood are coming directly to your living room, with SpeedWeek, and Jaguar Land Rover UK will be proudly represented throughout. Combining the best elements of Festival of Speed, Revival and Goodwood’s Members’ Meetings, SpeedWeek will be a live streamed, behind-closed-doors event that brings together a century of motoring celebrating the past, present and future of motorsport.
Crowning the action will be a celebration of Range Rover’s 50th anniversary, with a parade of 50 Range Rovers from across the decades, followed by a tightly choreographed number 50, made up entirely of these cars and shot from the air. Keep an eye out for special Range Rovers like the ‘Beaver Bullet’ – the first diesel car to average over 100mph for 24 hours – and a Trans-American Expedition example, famed for crossing the all-but-impassable Darien Gap in the 1970s. You will see our Classic Range Rover’s from the Land Rover Classic Team such as a P38, L332, Range Rover Reborn’s and many more.
Jaguar will be on track with the new F-TYPE R in the Supercar Run and showcasing the new F-PACE PHEV and new XF in SpeedWeek’s First Glance category.
SpeedWeek lead host, Dermot O’Leary, will be driving the Defender and F-TYPE as part of a series of host challenges and there is an exciting ‘Jaguar Electrifies’ activity which sees a dramatic high speed challenge between Bespoke XK120 by Jaguar Classic, I-PACE and the Formula E I-TYPE.
