Land Rover Defender Rear Seat Striker / Mounting Bracket – LR016264 (2007–2016)

LR016264 is the rear seat striker / latch mounting bracket fitted to Land Rover Defender models from 2007 to 2016, covering both 90 and 110 derivatives. Engineered as a structural component of the second‑row seat locking system, this bracket provides the secure engagement point for the 60/40 bench seat’s latch mechanism, ensuring correct retention, stability and occupant safety during use.

Manufactured from heavy‑gauge steel and finished in a durable corrosion‑resistant coating, the assembly incorporates the central striker bar and dual side mounting legs, allowing the bracket to bolt directly to the rear floor and seat box structure. The part supersedes earlier mounting hardware such as HWK500040PUY, HWK500100PUY and HWK500110PUY, reflecting Land Rover’s updated seat‑mount geometry and improvements in seat‑locking reliability for post‑2007 Puma‑platform Defenders.

Used on vehicles equipped with the 60/40 split second‑row seat, LR016264 forms the primary latch interface and is critical for preventing seat movement under braking or off‑road load transfer. As an OEM component, it is built to maintain alignment and correct latch preload, and is recommended whenever the original bracket shows signs of fatigue, deformation, corrosion or poor fitment following interior repairs or chassis refurbishment. Genuine examples are supplied to full Defender L316 specifications and remain the correct replacement part for all 2007–2016 models.
