Land Rover Defender Front Radius Arm Bush – NTC6781

NTC6781 is the front radius arm-to-axle bush used across Land Rover Defender and Range Rover Classic models, spanning applications from the early 1990s through the end of pre‑Puma Defender L316 suspension architecture. This cylindrical rubber‑and‑metal bush is pressed into the front radius arm where it connects to the axle housing, providing controlled compliance and isolating road shock, axle wind‑up and vibration from the chassis.

Manufactured to the original Land Rover specification, the bush consists of a bonded rubber core with a steel outer sleeve designed to withstand the longitudinal and torsional loads transmitted by the radius arm. 

Designed for Defenders built from 1987–2006, as well as Range Rover Classic models (to VIN HA610293 and from JA610294), NTC6781 provides essential damping of driveline and suspension movement, preventing metal‑to‑metal contact and maintaining steering and axle geometry. Over time, the rubber can degrade, causing symptoms such as wandering under braking, clunks on take‑off, and vague steering. As a result, the bush is a common replacement item during front‑end refurbishments or radius-arm rebuilds.
