Land Rover Defender Front Right‑Hand Door Seal – LR077687 (1983–2016, All Defender Models)

LR077687 is the front right‑hand door aperture seal used across the full production span of the traditional Land Rover Defender, covering Defender 90, 110 and 130 models from 1983 to 2016. Installed around the door frame, this moulded rubber weatherstrip forms the primary barrier against water ingress, wind noise, and draughts, sealing the top, front and rear edges of the RH door opening.

Manufactured from durable EPDM automotive‑grade rubber, LR077687 is designed to maintain compression over time while ensuring the door closes firmly without excessive resistance. Genuine Land Rover versions follow the OE profile used on later Defender L316 models and supersede numerous earlier references, including MWC1080, ALR4936, CFE102980, CFE102981, LR024954, LR038747 and LR044307. This consolidated part number reflects Land Rover’s final‑phase standardisation of Defender body sealing components.

The seal fits all original Defender body styles, including Station Wagon, Hard Top, Pick‑Up, County and NAS‑spec vehicles. Its correct installation is critical to preventing cabin moisture, eliminating whistling at speed, and avoiding issues such as damp carpets, musty odours, and difficulty closing the door when old seals become torn or hardened.
