EVB500820PMA - Land Rover Belt
Land Rover Defender Front Right‑Hand Seat Belt – EVB500820PMA (2007–2016)
EVB500820PMA is the right‑hand front seat‑belt assembly fitted to Land Rover Defender L316 models from 2007 through the end of production, covering 110 and 130 wheelbase Station Wagon, Utility, Crew Cab, Chassis Cab and HCPU configurations. The assembly installs at the primary occupant position on the driver’s side (RHD vehicles) and forms a critical element of the Defender’s restraint system, anchoring to the strengthened B‑pillar, sill structure and upper mounting point.
Configured as a complete belt mechanism, EVB500820PMA comprises a spring‑loaded retractor, OE‑pattern webbing, a matched tongue and buckle interface, and the required mounting geometry to integrate with the Defender’s crash structure. In normal use, the retractor allows controlled movement for occupant comfort, while its internal locking mechanism activates instantly under rapid deceleration, arresting forward motion and distributing load through the designated mounting points.
Designed specifically for post‑2007 Defenders, EVB500820PMA matches the later cabin structure and seat‑belt architecture adopted during the Puma/TDCi era. It is installed across 5‑door Station Wagon and Utility models, as well as Crew Cab and HCPU vehicles, where it forms part of the updated interior‑safety specification.
This belt assembly is a common replacement during interior refurbishments, structural repairs around the B‑pillar, or routine updates where earlier seat belts have become worn, contaminated, or have suffered from reduced retraction performance after years of exposure to moisture and off‑road environments. As a component directly tied to occupant protection, maintaining the correct specification, mounting orientation and mechanical performance is essential for ensuring the Defender’s restraint system continues to function as originally engineered.
