Land Rover Defender Front Windscreen Wiper Arm (RHD) – DKB000061PMD

DKB000061PMD is the right‑hand‑drive front windscreen wiper arm used on Land Rover Defender models from 2002 through to the end of L316 production in 2016. Designed to mount directly onto the wiper spindle, the arm transfers motion from the wiper linkage to the blade, ensuring consistent windscreen clearing under all weather conditions.

Manufactured as a black‑finished metal arm with a sprung hinge section, DKB000061PMD uses a hooked blade‑mounting end and is retained on the spindle with the later‑style fixing nut introduced during the 2002 model revision. Genuine variants conform to the Defender’s late‑type wiper geometry and wiping arc, offering correct pressure across the screen and durable performance in heavy rain, mud, or off‑road conditions.

This part supersedes earlier wiper arm DKB000060PMD and replaces older Defender wiper arm types found on pre‑2002 vehicles for RHD configurations. Fitment applies to all right‑hand‑drive Defender 90, 110, and 130 models from VIN 6A717273 onward, including Td5 and Puma 2.4/2.2 TDCi variants.

Common replacement reasons include worn hinge springs leading to poor screen contact, arm corrosion, weakened clamping tension at the spindle, or upgrading to a later‑type arm for improved blade retention. Installing a fresh DKB000061PMD restores proper wiping performance, reduces streaking, and ensures optimal visibility in adverse weather - particularly important for Defenders frequently used in rural or off‑road environments.
