Land Rover Defender Rear Door Glass Vertical Drain Channel - CFE000720

CFE000720 is the vertical drain channel fitted to Land Rover Defender 90, 110 and 130 models, covering vehicles from the late 1980s through to the end of Defender L316 production in 2016. Installed at the rear edge of the door‑glass aperture, this channel manages water run‑off from the rear door glass, directing it into the door’s drain path and preventing water ingress into the cabin or inner door frame.

Supplied in moulded plastic on genuine Land Rover versions, CFE000720 incorporates a narrow, contoured profile with multiple drain perforations designed to disperse water evenly down the internal door cavity. The component is manufactured to fit securely within the factory door‑glass frame and interfaces correctly with the 4mm Defender glass specification. Supersedeing part number MXC5836, It serves as a direct‑fit replacement across all conventional Defender rear-door configurations, including NAS‑spec variants.

Designed to preserve the weather‑sealing performance of the rear door, the drain channel prevents moisture build‑up, reduces the risk of corrosion inside the door, and limits the likelihood of damp damage to interior panels and electrical components. Over time, these channels can crack, become dislodged, or clog with debris (leading to water leaks and accelerated internal corrosion) making CFE000720 a common service replacement during rear‑door refurbishment, glass‑runner renewal or water‑ingress rectification.
